Celebrating 60 Years | 1967–2027
Since 1967, the Hunt County Fair & Livestock Show has been a place where agriculture, community, and tradition come together.
What began six decades ago has become an annual tradition for generations of Hunt County families. While the fair has grown and changed over the years, our commitment to supporting local youth, celebrating agriculture, and bringing our community together remains at the heart of everything we do.
From the livestock barns and Junior Livestock Auction to Creative Arts, live entertainment, and the carnival midway, the fair continues to offer something for all ages.
Behind it all are the volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, local businesses, and families whose dedication and support have made this tradition possible.
Meet Fair Boss
Standing near the entrance of the Hunt County Fairgrounds is one of our most recognizable pieces of history — a Hereford statue affectionately known as Fair Boss.
Donated by Harold Payne during the fair's early years, Fair Boss has welcomed generations of visitors and become a familiar symbol of our agricultural roots.
For many families, a photograph beside Fair Boss is as much a part of the fair as the livestock shows and carnival rides.
60 Years in the Making
As we celebrate our 60th Anniversary, we honor those who helped build the Hunt County Fair & Livestock Show, those who continue its traditions today, and the generations who will carry them forward.
We invite you to be part of this milestone celebration, April 23 – May 2, 2027, at the Hunt County Fairgrounds in Greenville, Texas.
60 Years of Agriculture. Community. Tradition.
